Fibonacci Art and Math Kit
Lesson Intentions: This kit will guide your child/student in understanding the Fibonacci number sequence and how it has been discovered in nature and can be applied to art and math. There is an art activity with a couple follow up math Fibonacci sequencing worksheets to help your child/student have a hands-on experience to fully grasp the understanding of Fibonacci’s findings.
Kit Includes: Illustrated lesson plan; “Blockhead, the Life of Fibonacci” hard back book, by Joseph D’Agnese; 25 1 x 1-inch wooden squares; paper ramekin to hold wooden squares; 2 pieces of 18 x 24-inch paper (this will come rolled, you can place some books on it to smooth it out before you begin); 3 follow up worksheets; a seashell to study; a ruler; a box of 8 crayons; a packet of sunflower seeds; a pencil; a pencil sharpener; and an answer key.
