Owl Pellet Dissection Kit: Comes with "Owls" story book by National Geographic kids, directions, an owl pellet worksheet, 2 owl pellets, tongs, 2 sets of plastic disposable gloves, a stick to dissect the pellet, a dissection mat to sort bones, and a magnifying glass.

Owl pellets are around 1 to 1 1/2 inches in length.

* Extra pellet purchases are meant to be added to other kits. If you choose this option, there are no other materials included.

Owl pellets are tight pellets that the owl has regurgitated. They include the parts of animals that the owl is unable to digest including small bones, feathers, and fur. The owl pellets are sterilized so they can be touched, but we have included gloves in the kit. If your children choose to touch the materials in their exploration, they should wash their hands afterward.
