Lesson Intentions: This phonogram kit is designed to strengthen your child’s or student’s phonemic awareness through engaging, hands-on activities focused on the following phonograms: u, oo, ou, ue, eu, ew, ui, and u with silent e. These phonograms represent different ways to spell similar sounds, helping learners recognize patterns and build decoding skills.  In addition to phonemic awareness, this kit supports the development of vocabulary knowledge and visual discrimination—key components of early literacy. This is the fifth kit in our ongoing phonogram series. Some kits focus on a single sound, while others explore two sounds, depending on the number of spelling variations included.

Kit Includes: Illustrated lesson plan with 7 different dry-erase activities (20 pages including worksheets and answer sheet); 2 game boards, hand burned wooden phonograms: “u, oo, ou, ue, eu, ew, ui, and u_e; a dry erase pen; and a journal.
