Horses and Mammals Kit
Lesson Intentions: This kit will provide your child/student hand-on activities to understand and learn about the parts of a horse, what a mammal is, and learn fun horse facts. This kit will help build your child’s/student’s vocabulary awareness and visual discrimination.
Kit includes: Illustrated lesson plan (4 pages); “Gallop! 100 Fun Facts about Horses” (a National Geographic favorite) story book; laminated four-part horse matching cards (48 cards total); full size laminated horse picture; 2 copies of “parts of a horse” worksheets (1 color and 1 black and white to color); 4 “parts of a horse” mini color sheets (for your child/student to make their own “parts of” booklets); horse color page; a three page animal report template; a miniature horse figurine, 4 sheets of tracing paper, a pencil sharpener; and a box of 12 color pencils. You are allowed to make copies of worksheets with the purchase of this kit for your use.
