Nature Trail Kit
Nature Trail Kit
This Nature trail kit and journal is designed to build your student/child’s love of nature and to create memorable experiences as they explore new trails and terrain. A child’s involvement with nature directly affects their EQ (emotional intelligence).
Materials included: 26 page bound (bindings vary in color) nature journal with 18 days of activities, a trail tracker, a gratitude chart, crayons, paints, painting brush, 3 paper cups, paper plate, contact paper, scissors, twine, yarn or ribbon (colors vary in kits), four 8 ½ x 8 ½ sheets of paper, and a mini magnifying glass.
Materials you will need: small shovel, water, and items to find in nature.
Notes to parents: You will need to teach your student/child how to identify dangerous plants such as poison ivy, oak, and sumac. They should also learn that if something looks dangerous, it is better not to touch it (stinging nettle). There is a chart in the back of the journal to show your children/students. Also note that there is a trail tracker and gratitude chart in the back of the nature journal.
