The "Out of my Heart" Literature Unit includes 44 pages of follow up work, a book(s), a work journal, color pencils, and pencil sharpener.  Each chapter reading includes vocabulary words for each chapter with a different activity. The activities include: "Out of my Heart" is the wonderful sequel story to "Out of my Mind," by Sharon M. Draper. This literature unit will provide follow up work for each reading that you do with your students. Each reading will be followed by vocabulary words from the chapters in addition to other fun follow up work including the following: journal prompts, language creations, animal report template, art and design prompts, sequence of events, personification, poetry, adjective work, boat parts, leaf characteristics, music assignment, team creation activity, parts of a horse, gravity experiment, making predictions, and a fun end of the book project.
