Turtles and Reptiles Kit
Lesson Intentions: This kit will provide your child/student hand-on activities to understand and learn about the parts of a turtle, what a reptile is, and learn fun turtle and reptile facts. This kit will help build your child’s/student’s vocabulary awareness and visual discrimination.
Kit Includes: Illustrated lesson plan; “Turtles” (a National Geographic kids favorite) storybook; laminated four-part turtle matching cards; full-size laminated turtle picture; 2 copies of “parts of a turtle” worksheets (1 color and 1 black and white to color); 4 “parts of a turtle” mini color sheet pages (for your child/student to make their own “parts of” booklets); turtle color page; a three-page animal report template; a miniature turtle figurine, tracing paper (2 sheets), a pencil sharpener; and color pencils. You are allowed to make copies of worksheets with the purchase of this kit for your use. * At different times of the year, when our ABC turtles shed, crates may include a piece of their scute. They will come in a plastic bag for your child/student to explore. If you let your child/student handle them, they should wash their hands right after.
Optional Purchase: This kit can be purchased with or without a puzzle, so make sure you choose the correct option on the drop-down menu when you go to purchase.
